Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Home Information Packs (HIPs)

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are produced by a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) in order to assess a property's energy efficiency and its environmental impact by scoring the property and rating it between A and G. The document will also provide various options that would lead to an improved rating if carried out. EPCs are required by law before marketing your property for sale or for rent.

Surveys generally take an hour to complete, and certificates are sent electronically within a couple of days. Hard copies are available upon request.

Home Information Pack (HIP)

Home Information Packs (HIPs) are required by law before marketing your property for sale. A HIP is made up of the following compulsory parts: Home Information Pack index, EPC (see above), sale statement, standard searches, evidence of title and additional information for leasehold and commonhold properties.

To order a HIP please contact me by phone or email. Searches generally take between 7 and 10 working days to complete. The completed HIP can be emailed or hard copy sent if required.
